We are happy to send you some comments on the Chateau and the reasons that we continue to stay with you. We first stayed at the Chateau on Christmas Day 1978 on our first day in New Zealand. We loved the gardens, the tree plantings and the location, adjacent to North Hagley park and close to the Botanic Gardens. Since then we have stayed with you almost every year. In 1982 we purchased a cottage in Queenstown and now stay at the Chateau four times a year. We have watched the gardens and trees grow to maturity. They are now magnificent and probably the highlight of the hotel. We enjoy sitting on the couches outside of the Den Bar, one of our favourite bars in the world, enjoying the calm provided by the fish in the moat, and the occasional duck landing on its surface. We wanted to put in writing how much we enjoyed Serena & Nigel's wedding at the Chateau. Thank you for your calm experienced help all along the way. We would also like you to pass on our thanks and appreciation to Greg and also his team of 3 for the excellent service they provided. The food was lovely - hot, tasty and fresh and many guests commented on how nice it was. The other thing that all the guests commented on was the perfect venue. Everyone had fun in a lovely setting.
